Nevada’s southern-most community, Laughlin, is nestled between the Colorado River and the mountains at the point where Nevada, California, and Arizona meet in the desert.
Part of the Las Vegas metropolitan area, Laughlin is also a distinct part of the tri-state river communities’ Mohave Valley — extending to Needles, California and Golden Shores to the south at Interstate 40, and upriver to Bullhead City and the Lake Mohave section of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area to the north.
Overview
With casinos lining the Nevada side, parks and beaches lining the Arizona side and beautiful scenery all around, it’s a great place to river cruise. Guests always decide the destinations and stops, but most opt for a run north to get as close to the dam as possible, with a stop on a beach for food and lounging. Others go for a 1hr+ cruise south to Needles to relax or party on a beach — and a casino stop is always an option.
